We are a group of seabird enthusiasts who are drawn together by a common passion: sharing our enthusiasm for Cape Town’s seabirds with visitors and also and supporting their conservation.
Cape Town Pelagics has had a long association with Birding Africa tours, who assist us with administration and support, allowing us to continue providing a world class experience to our clients, and have donated profits to albatross research and conservation.
We are also proud of our long association with Dr. Peter Ryan, who is one of Africa’s foremost seabird conservation biologists and birders.
Birding Africa supports Cape Town Pelagics and many Birding Africa guides make this possible by sharing their passion and knowledge for seabirds.
Dr. Peter Ryan was instrumental in setting up Cape Town Pelagics through our early pioneering offshore voyages. These voyages are now run by BirdLife South Africa under the Flock banner.
